I’m running for Indiana State Representative in House District 15 because I believe Indiana should work for the people who keep our state running. That belief comes from being raised in the Region, in a working-class family, and spending my life in service to others.
My parents taught me the dignity of hard work and responsibility to community. My father, a U.S. Navy veteran, spent his career as a welder in mills and factories, and my mother worked as a millwright before staying home to raise our family. Their sacrifices shaped my values and my respect for working families.
Service has always been central to who I am. After earning a degree in criminology from Indiana State University, I served as a patrolman with the Calumet City Police Department for a decade. That experience showed me how much strong communities depend on trust, accountability, and support for those who protect and serve.
Today, my focus is on family and community. My wife, Elise, and I have been married for 13 years and are raising two daughters. I’m closely involved in their education and activities and stay connected to our community through local schools and youth sports.
Faith guides how I approach leadership and public service. Raised in the Serbian Orthodox Church, educated in Catholic schools, and now a parishioner at St. Nicholas Byzantine Catholic Church in Munster, I believe leadership should be grounded in compassion, fairness, and respect for others.
Born at St. Margaret’s Hospital in Hammond and a graduate of Crown Point High School, I know this community because it raised me. I’m running to be a voice for working families and to bring common-sense, people-first leadership to the Indiana House of Representatives.
